I have worked in both fields of the Arts and Science
I grew up at Nairne in the Adelaide Hills and attended Mt Barker High School South Australia.
I worked in Medical Research for 10 years in the field of Electron Microscopy which involved photographic techniques.
In 1986 I graduated from Adelaide Tafe with a Certificate 2 in Technical Theatre. This study included Stage Management, Production Management,Lighting Design, Sound Operation, Property making ,Costume Design and my favourite Scenic Art.
I worked as Assistant Scenic Artist with SA State Theatre Company ,The SA State Opera Company and The Magpie Theatre Company (Children's Theatre Company an annex of State Theatre Company).
I also worked as an Enrolled Nurse and as a Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse in South Australia.
I also nursed in Paraburdoo in late 1990's.
We Moved to Pinjarra in 2000. I taught watercolour and drawing for 6 years at MAACS before becoming curator owner of the General Store Art Gallery at Fairbridge Village for a couple of years. I then returned to MAACS to pursue printmaking and have been on the Committee for last 6 years and have held the position of Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer.
I was on the board of Arts Culture Peel for a couple of years.
At present I am a volunteer and belong to Pinjarra Lions Club, I am Treasurer for The Pinjarra Community Garden, and I'm also on the Committee for the Pinjarra Garden Day Festival.
I am Currently a member of The Swing and Sway Dance Group (The Senior Rita’s) we do performances throughout the year and it helps to keep me fit. I also enjoy working with Textiles and creating Zentangles.
Finding time for art activities is difficult. My aim is to spend more time creating Art.
